Cauliflower is in the non-starchy vegetable category, the cornerstone of healthy eating. What I particularly like about cauliflower is that it is hearty, which makes it great for feeling warm and full in colder months.
Ghee and raw butter add our good-for-you fats to the meal. These provide satiety and help to stabilize our blood sugar from peaks and crashes.
Hemp seeds and Gomasio (sesame seeds and sea salt) add protein and more of those good fats! Hemp seeds are particularly powerful, as they are full of omega-3’s, vitamin B and D complex, essential amino acids, and micro-nutrients (including potassium, calcium, copper, and magnesium).
Turmeric is also considered one of the “world’s healthiest foods,” a very powerful anti-inflammatory, and has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to treat various conditions rooted in inflammation, including bloating, IBS, arthritis, and more. It’s now being studied for its cancer fighting benefits.
Enjoy this colorful, warm, and filling dish!
