When people first come to me to learn how to meditate, the most common objection I hear is, “I don’t have time to meditate.”
Once they’ve learned, they do a complete 180. Then they’re saying, “I don’t have time NOT to meditate.”
Even Dr. Mark Hyman (the head of Functional Medicine at Cleveland Clinic and 15-time NYT Bestselling Author) said this: “For the few minutes I invest in Ziva, I get back three hours of productivity.”
But how could that be?
You know that point in the day — usually around 3 o’clock — when you’re working on a project and your good ideas have decided to take the rest of the day off?
Or you’re in an afternoon meeting and your boss asks you for your opinion on something and… crickets. That 3 o’clock slump hits hard, especially when you’re feeling worn out.
That feeling dissipates when you have a daily Ziva Meditation practice.
Meditation strengthens your corpus callosum: this is the connection between your left and right brains. This amplifies the communication between your analytical side and your intuitive side, your critical mind and your creative mind, so that they can start working in true harmony.
It also rewires your brain to be more efficient. The technical term is neuroplasticity, which is a fancy word for the brain’s ability to change itself. So basically, you’re training your brain to become more innovative and creative when it comes to problem-solving.
By giving your body deep healing rest, relieving yourself of a lifetime of stress and anxiety AND strengthening your brain, you’ll be able to access creative solutions even while tired or under high demand.
So those tasks you hold off on until the next morning when you’re bright eyed and bushy-tailed? No more waiting. All you need is some Ziva time and you’re ready to go.
Just imagine what this will do for your productivity (AND your reputation at work when you’re the one pulling out the good ideas post-lunch).
Emily talks about this more in a new video. Watch below!
