Stacy London on Why “Too Busy” Is Just An Excuse

“I was one of those people who thought I didn’t have time to meditate. But it is such an excuse.”

Being “too busy to meditate” is one of the top reasons we hear why people hesitate to start a meditation practice. But what our graduates find once they start is that taking the time to meditate actually gives you time back: your sleep is deeper so you need less of it, your productivity soars, and you’re able to stress less and accomplish more.

Brava to our friend (and zivaGRAD!) Stacy London for bidding adieu to “too busy” and making the time — every day — to meditate.

Stacy says:

Time is a construct, and we control it. So, if you want to take 20 minutes twice a day out of your day to do something that is so beneficial to you, it’s within your power to do. To think that you can’t do it just means that you won’t.

The busier you are, the more beneficial this kind of meditation is.

This meditation doesn’t ask you to take yourself out of society, out of civilization and go live in a cave. This is meditation you can do on the subway, in a car, on your own, with other people, with noise, with real life happening around you.
